Kenny Charles (Merlin / TM) retained his leading position at the start of the B final for KZ2 Wackersdorf, where the rain stopped but the track was wet. Maxim Roy (Tony Kart / TM) gave way to second placed Massimo Mazzali (Jesolo / TM) who soon took the lead, while Christophe Benoit (Birel / TM) back to third from Thierry Delré (Sodi / TM). Julien Poncelet (ART GP / TM) began a good comeback, while Benoit lost a few places. Tobias Nilsson (Birel / TM) was in fourth position ahead of Roy and Benoit.
On the fifth lap, Charles seemed to fall into difficulties was fourth in favor of Delré and Nilsson, whereas Mazzali was forging ahead. But as the laps went on, Delré narrowed the gap to the leader, under pressure from Nilsson. Poncelet threatened the 5th place of Charles who also had to defend from Daniel Formal (Tony Kart / Vortex). The latter then attacked Poncelet. Paul David (Merlin / TM) was back in eighth position, Nilsson took Delré for second. The track dried out gradually and the Swedish driver attacked the leader who tried everything to resist. It’s easy to keep a position if you’re constantly closing the doors …
Mazzali won by 7/100 against Nilsson, Delré finished third from Benoit, Formal, and Poncelet in 6th.
