Thierry Racamier (Tony Kart) from the outset was the leader of the X30 Gentleman French Cup, but David Chenillot (Kosmic) did not let him go without a fight. Pascal Bielatowicz (Exceed) soon finds himself isolated in third place, followed at some distance by Frederic Blin (Kosmic), Ait Hakim Ouaret (LGK), Cyril Collinot (Tony Kart) and Remy Provost (Nowa).
Chenillot was literally in the wheels of Racamier while Pierrick Porte (Sodi) moved back in fifth position. Jacky Foulatier (Tony Kart) struggled in around 15th. When at his limit did Chenillot have the speed to mount an attack on the leader was the question that everyone asked. Bielatowicz had to yield to Ait Ouaret and Collinot. The latter captured third position, while Porte passed for fourth. Bielatowicz retired on the 14th lap.
Suddenly, on lap 18, and Chenillot passed Racamier who counter attacked, allowing Collinot join the final struggle and was watching the duel for the lead. Everything came down to the last lap. Racamier was back on top and barely kept it on the line allowing him to win the Coupe de France ahead of Chenillot and Collinot. Porte finished fourth, fifth was Monier.
