Webb, Babington and De Ruwe on pole in Genk

The results of Qualifying in the Belgian round of the Rotax Eurochallenge didn’t bring big surprises with pole positions for Harry Webb (Tony Kart) in Junior, Sean Babington (FA Kart) in Senior and Xen Ruwe (Formula K) in DD2, three drivers who were already noticed at the Rotax Winter Cup in Campillos for their pole positions, while Carl Cleirbaut (Praga) took the best time in DD2 Master.

Rule Britannia

There are five Britons in the top 5 in senior and seven of the top eight in the top category. Alexandre Finkelstein (Tony Kart) in 13th position is the first of the French in front of Antoine Barthon (FA Kart). Eva Benes and Kosmic took a good 24th, Hubert Petit (Sodi) 26th, Jules Cousin (FA Kart) 35th, Thomas Benisri (Sodi) 37th, Pierre Auvray (FA Kart) 38th, William Plassier (FA Kart) 39th, Jerome Lesoudier (Tony Kart) 44th … etc.

British rule also extends to juniors with a double for Harry Webb and Ryan Anderton (Tony Kart) ahead of the Dutch driver Sam Schippers (Intrepid), the Turk Cem Bolukbsai (Kosmic) and another Dutch also racing in KF3, Janneau Esmeijer (Intrepid).

The Belgian Xen De Ruwe (Formula K) lapped in DD2 significantly faster than the competition, led by the Dane Thomas Smith (Kosmic) and Haralds Garkaklis (Gillard). Antoine Lepesqueux (Sodi) set a good sixth time, while Maxime Gravouille (Sodi) was disqualified for being underweight.
