WSK Master Series standings before the second test at Sarno

With an extremely strong entry at the first round, that might even increase for the second round this weekend at Sarno, the WSK Master Series began with a bang at La Conca with often splendid races. A hierarchy emerged after a look at the championship standings, but the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli could bring surprises.

KZ1: Kozlinski strong leader

The competition is currently very uncertain in the premier class and Arnaud Kozlinki (PCR / TM) finished La Conca after winning final two, taking valuable points in front of Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) who lacked speed on Sunday, and Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) who made an amazing comeback on the second day. KZ2: Zanchetta should be wary of Lennox-Lamb

Italian driver Marco Zanchetta (Energy / TM) took advantage of the situation to take the lead in KZ2, but the British driver Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter), the big winner on Sunday, proved formidable despite some opposition, and got a penalty of 10” when he was in second place in final one. These two drivers are neck and neck and have relegated Douglas Lundberg (CKR / TM), Jan Midrla (Birel / TM) and Massimo Dante (CKR / TM) far behind. We should also watch the progress of French driver Charly Bizalion (Lenzo / TM), the pole sitter and the sixth fastest on Sunday.

KF2: Advantage Tiene against Verstappen

Although he dominated the heats, at times outrageously, Dutch KF2 driver Max Verstappen (Intrepid / TM) was pipped to the post in the prefinal and final by the Italian Felice Tiene (CRG / BMB), while the British driver Tom Joyner (LH / BMB) took a fine third place against the Italian Paolo Ippolito (Kosmic / Vortex).

KF3: Ilott the revelation

The young Briton Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) was the star of the meeting of La Conca and it is not surprising to see him in the championship lead. But George Russell (Intrepid / TM) is not so far off, although he was outperformed by his French teammate Dorian Boccolacci in the final. The latter made a strong impression and could be able to play spoilsport in KF3 if his equipment keeps pace. It was a great start to the season for the Spanish CRG driver Alex Palou with his BMB engine, then in fourth was the excellent Felix Nilsson (Energy / TM), Luca Corberi (Kosmic / Vortex) and Dan Tickum (Zanardi / Parilla).

60 Mini: Another dominant Lorandi

The Cadet Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / LKE) took over from his older brother, Alessio, who is now KF3, and was clearly dominant in 60 Mini at La Conca in front of the British James Pull (Top Kart / LKE) and Romanian Andrei Vajda (Top Kart / LKE).
