Max Defourny on PCR: Fast But Unlucky

Although he began the 2012 season at the WSK Master Series (La Conca) a bit short of winter practice, it did not take long for Max Defourny to become familiar with his new official PCR/IAME. Already 24th out of 75 KF3 entrants in timed qualifying, he showed a great burst of speed during the qualifying heats, with the fastest time of his second race and third best performance of the day, though he kept his used tyres. Undoubtedly the young Belgian driver goes fast!

But he also had a few problems on the track. To put it simply, he was hit or collided into in each of his heats. In such conditions, it is never easy to get a good position. With nearly 3 withdrawals in 4 races, Max could not reach the final phases of the competition. He is now looking forward to next meeting, the WSK Master round to be held at Sarno in a few days’ time, and he is ready to launch his attack by taking advantage of his top-performing kart, in order to achieve a good result more in keeping with his talent.
