KF3 Final: Ilott wins ahead of Boccolacci

Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) made the best start of the KF3 final at La Conca for the WSK Master Series. Starting from the fourth row, Dorian Boccolacci (Intrepid / TM) drove the first lap in 2nd place close to Ilott. George Russell (Intrepid / TM) lost three places, Alex Palou (CRG / BMB) was in third place, but the European champion did not stop there. Felix Nilsson (Energy / TM) dropped to 10th place after a good start to the race, and Connor Jupp (Energy / TM) was ahead of the fifth Luca Corberi (Kosmic / Vortex), Dan Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla) and Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex).

At the halfway point Ilott dominated with 6/10 lead ahead of Boccolacci, Russell was third by 9/10. The Zanardi was increasingly fast, but the Intrepids were close, with a small advantage for the British driver. Lorandi retired. Ilott pulled away again by 2.4” ahead of Boccolacci who managed to keep Russell 5/10 behind. Palou finished 4th, Corberi 5th, Jupp 6th, Ticktum 7th. There was a beautiful 11th position for Valentin Naud (Formula K / TM) and 19th for Julien Darras (Intrepid / TM) well back in the competition.
