Italian driver Flavio Camponeschi during Japanese Roung ot the World Championship KF1 2011.
At Macau, host of the CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific Championships, this Friday was entirely dedicated to non-qualifying practice.
In the added classifications of the four sessions, the fastest in KF1 proved to be Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone), but Felice Tiene (CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone) and Yannick de Brabander (Parolin-TM-Bridgestone) achieved almost identical lap times as they were respectively only 59 thousandths and 64 thousandths down on the leader. The first Asian, Japan’s Daiki Sasaki (Birel-Parilla-Bridgestone), got the fourth time ahead of Takashi Kasai (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) and Laura Tillett (CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone).
Gaps were bigger in KF3, at any rate between Denmark’s Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and those behind. Nielsen was fastest in all four sessions and always remained over 3 tenths ahead the others, in particular the Japanese Teruhisa Tanaka (Maddox-Parilla-Vega).
