The free practice for the 15th Super Nationals has begun in Las Vegas. Before you enjoy the photos and news from our special correspondent in Nevada, here’s a quick introduction to the event which is expected to attract over 500 competitors in the parking lot of the Rio hotel.

Of the 11 categories on the program we currently have some provisional lists. There are 26 entered in KF2, including Sami Luka (Energy) TM), the European Champion and the winner in Vegas in 2010, but also some European drivers such as Dennis Olsen and Sam Snell (Energy / TM), Teemu Suninen (Intrepid / TM), Matias Köykkä (PCR / TM) and Damiano Fioravanti (Tony Kart / Vortex) who is probably thirsty for revenge after the Asia Pacific championship win that escaped at Suzuka last weekend. Noticed in U18, Dave Blom (Formula K / TM) and Raquel Martinez (Top Kart / Parilla) have joined KF2. The French driver Alex Humbert (FA Kart / Vortex) is racing again in his favorite race, but he has not raced this season.

The top class is richly endowed with a prize of $ 10,000 for the winner, the KZ2 should have 42 drivers. In the absence of Jonathan Thonon and Arnaud Kozlinski, CRG has the young Mirko Torsellini or Gary Carlton (LH / Maxter). Intrepid have a prominent trio of Bas Lammers, Jérémy Iglesias and Beitske Visser. Tony Kart will defend itself with Marco Ardigo and Rick Dreezen, while Yannick De Brabander (Formula K / TM) will be a contender. Patrik Hajek run on this occasion on a Praga / TM in the same team as his compatriot Lucie Panackova whose presence illuminates the paddock again.

On the French side, there will also be some quality drivers: Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) who have a real chance of the podium, Stéphane Stemper (Merlin / TM), Nolan Mantione (Formula K / TM) and Hugo Valente (Birel / TM).

The categories are divided into two groups, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon so the circuit can be open between 7:30 a.m. And 7:30 p.m. (9 hours behind France).

Group 1: TaG Junior, KF2, S2, TaG Cadet, KZ2.

Group 2: S4, TaG Senior, S5, G1, TaG Master, S1.

The weather looks pretty nice with the sun and a temperature of 20 ° C on Thursday and Friday, with a small chance of rain Saturday and Sunday.
