The European Final of the Bridgestone Cup entered its final day this morning at Lonato with the traditional practice session in bright sunlight and a slightly cooler temperature. Surprisingly, the starts and races have gone quite well and there have been no major incidents.

In KF3, Vasily Romanov (Energy / TM) won the race ahead of Christopher Höher (CKR / TM) and French driver Julien Darras (Intrepid / TM) who had to gain places but still reached the finals along with Costantino Peroni ( Energy / TM), Cosimo Durante and Stanilslaw Gartstecki (Birel / BMB). Gabi Aubry (Birel / TM) didn’t start after oiling up.

In KF2, the race was quite sensible with a win for Florian Stüger (Birel / BMB) from Tan Wei-Ron (Kosmic / Vortex) and Sebastien Segond (Tony Kart / Vortex) who were very consistent. Lorenzo Ripamonti (TB Kart / Vortex), Mirco Gervasoni (Birel / BMB) and Mario Ziletti (LH / TM) also qualified, while Sean Gelael (PCR / Vortex) was out in the grass on the start line and could do no better than seventh …

In KZ2, the battle was more intense with 19 drivers at first, but no one could upset the victorious march of Lorenzo Lapina (Maranello / Maranello) followed by Alex Caregnato (FA Kart / TM), Samuel Sladecka (Intrepid / TM) and Oskari Kurki-Suonio (Ninar / TM). Behind these four drivers, the situation changed over the laps and it finally Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / TM) took fifth place ahead of Manuel Grassi (Intrepid / TM) who made a great recovery.
