Already fourth at the end of the first lap, he attacked D’Agosto in 2nd place and went in pursuit of the leader Albon, who was 3.2” in front of him. Obviously, Dino Chiesa did not like the domination of Albon and responded to empower his driver. But for now, on lap 5, Albon continued to widen the gap to 4.1.” It took the fifth place Bailly to start a duel. Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the Kosmic driver and Toman followed in the wake. D’Agosto retired on the 8th lap.

In mid-race, Albon still had more than 4 seconds lead ahead of De Vries and 8.5” from Basz in second. Albon and De Vries were the only two drivers to run regularly in the 47” lap. Then, a pass! Yu Kanamaru (Tony Kart / Vortex) took Zdenek Groman (Kosmic / Vortex) to gain 12th place. With such gaps, the drivers no longer needed to turn around to watch their opponents, they just look out the corner of their eye to the other side of the circuit.

Alexander Albon showed with this victory that he has lost none of his talent and Intrepid has returned to success. Second by 4.4”, Nyck De Vries no longer appears unbeatable, even if he relegated Karol Basz to 3rd by 8”.
