The 21 KF1 drivers started the races of Sunday at La Conca. They started their first heat in the finishing order of final 1: Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM), Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex), Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) and Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex) were on the front two rows under a very blue sky and a strong breeze.

D’Agosto started best, followed by Lock, Zdenek Groman (Kosmic / Vortex), De Vries and Albon, much less quickly. Albon attacked De Vries on the first lap, Basz did the same on the next lap. Albon increased the pace and took a brilliant second position in Q3, from Groman and Lock. Then it was disrupted by the retirement of Lock, De Vries was eighth, with Chamberlain (Intrepid / TM), Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) ahead in fifth, sixth and seventh places.

De Vries retired halfway through the race, Albon took control of the race ahead of D’Agosto and Groman, soon overtaken by Karol Basz (RK / BMB). Albon got away at high speed, Libor Toman (Birel / BMB) passed Bailly. Albon won the first heat from D’Agosto and Basz.
