First KF1 heat: De Vries in front of Albon

Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) took the lead from the start of the first heat in KF1 from poleman Karol Basz (RK / BMB), while Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM) quickly regained third position and then second, being the fastest on the track. Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex) dropped to fourth position and Zdenek Groman and Tereza Gromanova, the brother and sister on Kosmic / Vortex. Joradn Chamberlain was further back in seventh position. Libor Toman (Birel / BMB) had already given up, Leo Roussel, starting last, did what he could to recover and advanced rapidly to 17th.

De Vries engaged the turbo and set record lap times, but Albon was on the pace. D’Agosto overtook Basz for third. In 11th, Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) retained his original position without being able to do better, which is not his usual habit. Victory for De Vries from Albon and D’Agosto. Basz was fourth, fifth was Groman, Gromanova sixth, Chamberlain seventh, Camponeschi 8th, Pakari 9th and Kanamaru 10th.
