The Rotax Masters Cup in France will reach its denouement at the end of the 25 lap final that started under a sky heavy with some dark gray clouds over Angerville. Jeremie Charon (Tony Kart) managed to keep his advantage. Yvon Pater (Sodi) made a mistake on the first lap and retired early. Franck Rouxel (Sodi) quickly made an attack on the leader and was first on the 2nd lap. Cedric Gardin (Tony Kart), was 3rd ahead of Cyril Bracquart (Intrepid) and Pascal Bielatowicz (Exceed). Fourth wasn’t far behind, but the top three did not wait to take off.

Charon would like to resume control of the race, but Bielatowicz was gaining ground ahead of Gardin. He didn’t like that and regained his position with authority. Also, he had to watch the recovery of the devil, Christophe Adams, 5th.

The battle was far from over at the front between Rouxel and Charon who didn’t give up and exchanged fastest laps. Charon recovered the lead on lap 16, while in third was Bielatowicz. Rouxel resigned himself to his second place, but Gardin had not given up watching Bielatowicz. And he had reason to believe it as he crossed the finish line after a great duel against Bielatowicz. Charon won the Cup ahead of Rouxel.
