Final KF3 heats

The weather looks beautiful at Varennes on the first day of May for the final stages. But before that, there are 3 qualifying heats to compete for in KF3.

Esteban Ocon (FA Kart / Vortex) won in heat C / D, followed by Antonio Fuoco (Top Kart / TM). Valentin Moineault (Sodi / Parilla) was slow to get on the gas at the start, probably because of a small mechanical problem, and was 9th. Drivers rubbed in the pack. The race was enlivened by a great duel between Ocon and Fuoco, ending victory for Ocon after several passes on the last lap. Consistent and fast, Valentin Naud (Tony Kart / Vortex) took a great third place, while Moineault came back to 6th.

At the start of the heat A / E after 3 practice laps, Darius Oskoui (Intrepid / TM) started well, but turned carefully and Alex Palou (FA Kart / Vortex) came out first ahead of Benjamin Gerard (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Nicolo Balsamo (Birel / BMB). In 7th, Paolo Besancenez (Sodi / Parilla) began a big comeback. Palou escaped to a clear victory, and Besancenez took 2nd position ahead of Balsamo, Gerard and Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) then François Bécamel (CRG / Maxter). Oskoui finished seventh, followed by Felix Nilsson (Intrepid / TM) who is definitely in great shape.

The last heat, B / C, was dominated by Esteban Ocon from the start, then he was caught by Albert Gil (Tony Kart / Vortex) in a duel that lasted until the finish. Dorian Boccolacci (Birel / BMB) gained some important points, 7th on the first lap before he took fourth behind Pedro Hiltbrand (Kosmic / Vortex) before being removed from the track by Antonio Fuoco. Ocon passed Gil before the final lap to attack again and cross the line as the winner. Hiltbrand took 3rd place ahead of Kevin Lavelli (Top Kart / Parilla), Fuoco, Boccolacci and Hubert Petit (Sodi / Parilla).
