Nyck De Vries didn’t leave a moments doubt that the victory in the 1st heat in KF1 this Sunday morning would not be reserved. Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex) made the better start and the Zanardi /  Parilla driver had to wait a bit to regain control. Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex) inherited second when D’Agosto received a 10s penalty for the start.

The track was wet from the light rain that had been falling for over an hour when the 2nd heat was started. As usual, De Vries took command of the race and pulled away quickly ahead of Zdenek Groman (Kosmic / Vortex), Toman, Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla) and Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex). However Karol Basz (RK / BMB) come back strongly in second, followed by Baron and Bailly. Basz took the lead, Baron 2nd, Bailly 3rd, 4th De Vries under threat from Matteo Viganò (Birel / BMB), the fastest on the track. Basz won from Bailly, Baron, De Vries and Vigano. De Vries still retained pole position in the ranking, although much disturbed by the rain. Basz took 2nd position ahead of Bailey, Baron and Toman.
