And a victory for Baron!

It took a while for the many KF3 littering the runway to be cleared and for the KF2 drivers to take the stage for their final with Victor Sendin (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Leo Roussel (Sodi / Parilla) on the front row. Sendin was on course for a good result, but he overshot the first corner and went through the gravel trap. Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla) got ahead, but Enzo Guibbert (FA Kart / Vortex) completed the first lap in the lead. Roussel was third in front of Jordi Oriola (FA Kart / Vortex) and the Ukrainian Daniil Pronenko (Birel / TM). Sendin was 15th, but several drivers were missing: Réguillon, Filippi, Gonzales, Lepesqueux, De Ridder, and Sebastian Segond, who injured his arm during the pre-final.

Roussel took the lead, spurred on by Baron and Guibbert. Further bak Oriola was quietly in 4th place, well away from Victor Compere (FA Kart / Vortex) and Kenny Vermeylen (Tecno / Parilla) up from 28th place. Enzo Guibbert took the lead, while the intense duel between Roussel and Baron continued. Pascal Belmaaziz (DR / Parilla) was in the top 10 briefly, soon replaced by Alexandre Benoit Bessac (Kosmic / Vortex) in 9th position. Another change of leadership, Roussel led on lap 10 from Baron and Guibbert. He pulled out a narrow lead ahead of his two opponents who were in the middle of a fight. Anthoine Hubert (Sodi / Parilla), was now almost in the top 10.

Compere had the fastest lap with an incredible 54”003, but Baron and Guibbert competed in the top group. Baron was also faster than Roussel and Guibbert and always looked like he could win. Baron impeccably attacked Roussel on the last lap, Guibbert tried to follow and Roussel was down to 3rd. The race was finished! Alex Baron won the race ahead of Guibbert and Roussel. Compere was fourth, Vermeylen fifth, Dupont 6th, Gil 7th.
