Verstappen comes back but O’Keeffe wins KF3 Prefinal

Following some downtime for the live-timing, we are not able to properly account for the prefinal KF3.

In the first lap, Robin Hansson (Energy / TM) took the lead ahead of Callan O’Keeffe (FA Kart / Vortex), George Russell (Intrepid / TM), and Lasse Sorensen (Birel / BMB). Max Verstappen (CRG / Maxter) went to 9th. Dorian Boccolacci (Birel / BMB) was thrown off the track at the first corner but managed to get going again.

Hansson retained the lead, Russell took second ahead of O’Keeffe, Hiltbrand and Verstappen. O’Keeffe took 2nd after the halfway point and was back to the leader while Verstappen moved into fourth position ahead of Hiltbrand. It was now up to Russell to pass. He attacked Hansson and took for second before going on the hunt for the lead. O’Keeffe anticipated the attack by overshooting and thus saved his victory. Russell took 3rd place on the line, Hanson was fourth and fifth was Hiltbrand.
