The 2011 24 hour Birel Karting in Jesolo

The typical karting marathon organized by Birel will be held in Jesolo (Venice) on the weekend of the 17th April.

There is a karting event which, for 13 years, has been at the heart of all motorsport fans: the 24 Hour karting organized by Birel. A large number of pilots as well as those who are just fans are unable to renounce the yearly par excellence karting marathon and form teams with their friends to share a unique and emotional experience rarely seen in other motorsports.

The huge passion with which the Brianzola firm manages this event is, from both a technical and logistic aspect, certainly the fundamental basis of this longevous success. On the technical side just knowing that the karts supplied to the teams (by drawing lots) are managed directly by the internal race sector, a structure which is confident in guaranteeing uniformity in terms of performance and an excellent standard of assistance during the race.

24H_Birel_2011.jpgMoreover, from the point of view of organization, the internal agency of the group Coordination Sport Event, boasts nearly twenty years’ experience in managing sporting events and has perfected a service packet capable of making every event impossible to forget. Amongst the services included in the subscription are a Hospitality structure covering more than 200 square metres, pits equipped and covered with time monitors for each team, management of all race services (booking office, release of licences directly on track, medical assistance, insurance cover), supply of technical equipment and, if necessary, use of a camper for the night or use of rooms in hotels near the circuit.

The main objective of all teams is to finish the race and file along the podium to receive the highly merited “Prize of Honour”. To participate in the 24 Hour Karting it is not necessary to be an expert pilot, many teams are comprised of novices and fans, and, as Marco Angeletti of Birel marketing states: “To participate you must be at least 16 years old and have above all a predisposition to exhilarating and demanding challenges. If you meet these requirements all that remains is to form a team of at least 4 pilots and the rest is left to an established and efficient organization. The participants in the race are very diverse, ranging from teams which are typically amateurish to those which are highly organized with expert pilots already engaged in mono-mark Trophies and National categories. The 24 Hour holds a captivating format for everyone, combining in an exceptional way the emotions of the pilot on the track with the strategies at the pit and management of the team for the event”. This unique challenge and the management of many ‘side’ services by the Organization holds an indisputable fascination and over the years the event has involved a large number of firms who use this event as “Team Building” for their own dependants and clients.

To this proposal is matched the contained participation costs, fixed at Euro 3.700,00 + VAT per team, which signifies 370,00 Euro per pilot for a team of 10. With regard to the programme, the event is fixed for between Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April at the Jesolo (Venice) track, which has always been an ideal location for this type of event.

Saturday morning foresees the ‘free’ and qualifying heats, with the 24 Hour karting starting at 14,00 and concluding at 14.00 on Sunday after a 1.600 kilometres race, dozens of pit stops and pilot changes, besides a long night with pressing confrontations on the track.

Race applications open on Monday 17th January and close on attainment of 32 teams. For further information the Organization has activated a service at n° 039.2145204.
