Incredible Lock wins crazy KF2 race

A clash between Giovinazzi and Chamberlain in the KF2 final benefited Karol Basz (RK / BMB) who was already incredibly fast in the prefinal. Gerard Barrabeig (Birel / BMB) was second ahead of Sebastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) and Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex). The three soon reversed, but Barrabeig did not stay long as leader. Basz returns to the lead and escaped, Bailly in his wake. Jacob Nortoft (FA Kart / Vortex) was third position ahead of Lock Barrabeig, Chamberlain, King, Lennox and D’Agosto.

Bailly took control on lap 4, Nortoft attacked Basz attack for 2nd place, followed by Lock and Chamberlain, and now Basz was 5th, from Lennox and D’Agosto. After a dramatic shift to 7th, Nortoft took Bailly and Chamberlain, then Lock and Basz, while Lennox, in 6th clocked the fastest lap. Lock and Basz took Chamberlain, Lennox was in his front wheels and soon passed too. Bailly took the lead again on lap 11, Lock was installed in 2nd place on the next round and Lennox was ahead of Nortoft before Basz and Chamberlain. Lock attacked Bailly strongly, and Lennox went third from Nortoft. The first 3 escaped while their pursuers teared into each other.

Lap 15: Lock led from Lennox and Bailly, lap 16: Lennox, Bailly, Lock. This time the leading trio was joined by the following 3. Lock Basz, Chamberlain, …were ahead! Could not tell what would happen on the last lap and we were bouncing. Still, Lock won the race, second was Basz who returned to Lennox and Chamberlain was 4th before D’Agosto who had recovered a lot, then Barrabeig. Bailly tasted the grass at the chicane, under duress, and he crossed the line seventh before Nortoft, King and Sathienthirakul.
