Sodi drivers distinguished themselves again at the 14th edition of the Monaco Kart Cup. The best result came from Charles Leclerc, winner in KF3 on his first attendance, while Pierre Gasly spared no efforts to climb back on the final podium and Anthony Abbasse conquered a third place in KZ2.
The Sodi team’s overall performance on Monegasque soil this year is definitely one to remember. KF3 drivers drew their weapons first with Sodi hat trick in timed qualifying, with Pierre Gasly in the lead. Charles Leclerc showed a textbook performance in the pre-final, recovering from 28th to 7th, was the absolute dominator in the final race and concluded by bringing the Cup home: a victory that means a lot in a career! Pierre Gasly could not avoid a series of problems, but thanks to his fighting spirit, he managed to redress the situation and finished with a fantastic third place, after a long series of exciting passes.
In KZ2, at the presence of the world elite of karting, Anthony Abbasse was constantly in the top 3 in the 125cc gearbox category. In the lead of the pre-final just when it was interrupted for the rain, Anthony fought like a lion during the final to climb on the third step of the podium, despite very difficult track conditions.
