Another Step Forward

Beitske Visser’s irresistible ascent continues at very high speed. After showing some superb performances a the Margutti Trophy, then in the WSK Euro Series, Beitske now feels perfectly at ease at the top of the European KZ2 Championship in Varennes-sur-Allier. Always extremely fast with her Intrepid/TM, the young Dutch driver has gained competitiveness by crossing swords with the best drivers of the category. She was seen battling for victory with great determination against more experienced rivals.

Her European meeting started with a best lap time in timed qualifying in the KZ2 crowd, and then continued with two victories in the qualifying heats. Race 1 was magnificent and Beitske crossed the finish line as winner, accompanied by deafening applauses. The European title was still in the line of sight at the start of Race 2. Unfortunately, during a formidable fight for the first place, she was hit by another driver and went violently off the track. She gathered her strength and bravely managed to start again, but it was too late for a good result. She had to content herself with a fourth place in the final standings of the Championship, an exceptional performance for such a young driver, but a disappointing one for someone as determined to win as Beitske.
