Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM) was penalized in the first heat for his optimistic start and fell to 12th, which did not prevent him from starting on the front row alongside Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) for the start of 2nd heat for KZ1. Some went off catastophically early, others were hesitant and others downright tragic. The red flag was shown by the race director. Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) had to return to the pits after bending a rear axle. The race resumed without him after a brief calm to cool down. Given the ambient heat, it was not obvious.

Lammers led after the start, but Abbasse went up the inside, benefiting Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM) who slipped into second place. Behind the three men, the fight went up a notch between Manuel Renaudie (PCR / TM) and Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) 6th, Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex) 7th, Pierre-Etienne Chaumat (Intrepid / TM) 8th and Ben Hanley (Maranello / Maranello). Iglesias closed on Abbasse then remained glued to his rear bumper, while Lammers was close. Enough to attack Abbasse and slip into 2nd position. Renaudie was 4th after a soft start, returned to the top three, followed at a distance by Mich.

Renaudie surpised Abbasse by attacking for 3rd which he attempted to replicate. The Intrepid 2 pulled away. Hanley was threatening to Mich for 5th. Abbasse resumed his 3rd position and began to hunt down Lammers, but there were only two laps to go. Mich could withstand the attacks of Hanley. Victory, the second of the day, went to Iglesias ahead of Lammers, Abbasse, Renaudie and Mich.
