The front row for the explosive start of the KZ2 pre-final was Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and the pole sitter Jeremy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM), followed by Italian driver Simone Brenna (TB Kart / TM). Abbasse took the lead while Brenna slipped into second position under braking on the first time round the hairpin. Iglesias, Yan Pesce (Energy / TM) and Pierre Etienne Chaumat (Intrepid / TM) were leading the chase. Chaumat spun ion lap 2, Iglesias took 2nd place from Brenna, Pesce was 4th ahead of Figheira and Savard.

Abbasse led the race by 26/100 from Iglesias. Gallepe quickly recovered to 7th. Yannick Savard (CRG / Maxter) was the fastest on track at this time and he attacked Pesce. Iglesias gradually closed on Abbasse and Brenna was still third, in fourth Savard returned to the front with Figheira and Pesce in his wake.

Charles Fiault (Sodi / TM) found an opening on Gallepe to gain 7th place. Would Iglesias have the means to take Abbasse? He tried on lap 11, but Anthony quickly moved across. But it was not over between the two men. Iglesias attacked on the last lap, the karts touched and Abbasse lost his first place without being able to reply. Brenna third, Savard 4th, 5th Fiault.
