Still no rain on the program, so it would seem that this weekend of European qualifications can, against all odds, completed in the dry. The usual scramble took place at the first hairpin, but we have seen worse. Sennan Fielding (Top Kart / Parilla), Benjamin Barnicoat (Tony Kart / TM), Roy Johnson (Tony Kart / Parilla), Hubert Anthoine (Tony Kart / Vortex), Ocon Esteban (Exprit / Vortex) and Pierre Gasly (Sodi / Parilla ) was the order of the six players after the start.
On the third lap, Hubert lost four places being forced to avoid Gasly, Dalton and Dennis. Barnicoat took command of the race to the detriment of Fielding, and Ocon then Johnson held third place. Gasly remained fifth, but Hubert continued to drop down the classification: he was 10th.
With the arrival of Albon, a group of 8 drivers were at the head of the race: it could get heated … Barnicoat was passed by Fielding, Johnson and Albon threatened Ocon, and going from 7th to 5th Dalton quickly found himself passing Dennis and Gasly on the same lap. He was now starting to attack the top 4 who moved ahead a little in the meantime. On lap 11, the manuoevre was made on Ocon, who was soon overtaken. Competitors were drawn out on the PF International circuit and the positions were stabilized.
On lap 13, Albon moved into third position after passing Johnson, then second from Barnicoat. Fielding escaped to victory. Dennis wanted to attack Johnson on the last lap, but this was a hoax maneuver. Albon was second, Barnicoat third, Johnson fourth, Dennis fifth, Ocon 6th, Gasly 7th and Hubert 9th.
