WSK Zuera: Timing Practices Day

In the timing practices of the third round of WSK Euro Series, the fastest drivers in Zuera (E) were French Convers (Kosmic-Vortex SKF) and Renaudie (PCR-TM KZ1), Polish Fuchs (Birel-TM KZ2) and Dalewski (FA Kart-Vortex KF2) and Norwegian Olsen (Energy-TM KF3).

The track is full of drivers in Zuera. The third round of WSK Euro Series had its beginning on the Circuito Internacional de Zuera, close to the Spanish city of Saragossa. Today were run the timing practices, after that yesterday’s program was full of free practice and sporting checks. The WSK Euro Series confirms itself as a series rich of a lot of drivers, come from all over the world, with over 220 of them running in Zuera.

The first Pole Positions of the weekend. Tomorrow in the qualifying heats Manuel Renaudie (PCR-TM-Dunlop) will start in pole position in KZ1. The French driver performed today the best timing in 59″116, ahead of Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) who is the current leader of the Championship. In the same session, first in KZ2 was Polish Daniel Fuchs (Birel-TM-Dunlop), with the timing of 1’00″126. French Armand Convers (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega), current leader in the Super KF standings, will start tomorrow with the best wishes in SuperPole. The driver from Saint-Etienne was the fastest today, with the timing of 1’00″094.

Spanish contest in KF2. Today the faster in KF2 was Polish Jakub Dalewski (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), with the timing of 1’00″942. In this category what can be considered as a challenge between young giants has shifted to Zuera: Italian Ignazio D’agosto (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), third today, performed in Muro Leccese determined to lead the relative class, but he suffered a setback when Nicolaj Moller Madsen (Energy-TM-Vega) winning the race in Lonato became the current leader in the Championship. The Danish driver was today just in 31st position. Here on the Spanish circuit, Brazilian Guilherme Silva, now third below D’Agosto (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), is ready to join in the duel between the two rivals. He ranks among the drivers showing lots of progress in their performances in 2010. Equally, drivers such as British Luke Varley (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and Danish Michelle Gatting (CRG-Maxter-Vega) started well the year. In Lonato, they both have been always in the leading positions as reflected in the Euro Series ranking where they are respectively 4th and 5th. In addition, Jacob Nortoft (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) and Max Klinkby-Silver (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) testify that the Danish breeding ground is now at its best: they mounted the podium behind the winner Moller Madsen and both improved their ranking and are now sixth and eighth. In this round, This weekend Spanish Gerard Barrabeig (Birel-BMB-Vega) plays at home with the aim of improving his seventh place. In the same way, the strong Japanese driver Yu Kanamaru (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) being now 9th above French Enzo Guibbert, has to close the gap. Kanamaru has in his favour a close rapport with the circuit in Zuera seeing that it was right here that he achieved his first win in an international race last year.

Everybody chasing the leader in KF3. Dutch Max Vestappen (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) has consolidated his leadership in KF3 in Lonato. However, English Alexander Albon (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) winning the previous round with an incredible sprint has altered every prediction. Albon is placed third, below Dutch Peter Hoevenaars (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop). Fourth, Italian Loris Spinelli (Intrepid-TM-Dunlop) is always an opponent to be feared as well as French Anthoine Hubert (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) who recorded an amazing best time during the timing practices in Muro Leccese. The fastest in the timing practices was today Norwegian Dennis Olsen (Energy-TM-Dunlop) with the time of 1’02″750. Verstappen was just in 7th position.
