And a win for Convers and Kosmic!

Catt found it hard to start … The formation lap was a little confused at places, and Laura Tillett retired before the start. … The pressure was at its peak. Catt held the lead and Cesetti captured second place, but Convers took over on lap 2. The Kosmic driver even took the lead on the next lap. Ardigo was in 3rd place ahead of Cesetti and Camponeschi. Kozlinski came back very quickly, the fastest lap in his pocket.

Ardigo joined Catt, De Brabander just passed Cesetti for 5th place. In 15th De Vries lost 3 places, Koko set a string of fastest laps and moved up to 12th. Ardigo was very close to Convers. We were only 1 third in to the race which was 30 laps long. Convers Ardigo, Catt, Camponeschi, Cesetti, De Brabander, Puhakka, Chamberlain and Fore were in the top 10, and in 11th Koko was still the fastest.

Catt attacked Ardigo, Koko overtook Fore, and Cesetti passed Camponeschi for 4th. Kozlinski continued his celebration, now in 9th, leading a fast group. The race was long, everything was possible. De Vries attacked Toman, in 11th, but did not seem able to pass. Always in the lead, Convers was again threatened by Catt. The scuffle happened on lap 20, but now Convers was chased by Ardigo. Then, Catt took back second. During the fight Cesetti joined the lead group.

De Brabander passed Camponeschi for 5th place, and 2 places behind, Kozlinski had Puhakka in sight, but he seemed less dominant than at the beginning of the race, the new tyres must have been worn. Behind Convers Ardigo was now in second place ahead of Cesetti and Catt.

Convers (Ksomic/Vortex) now had victory finally in his pocket. Ardigo (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 2nd, Catt (Tony Kart/Vortex) took 3rd place narrowly from Cesetti (Birel/BMB). De Brabander (Intrepid/TM) finished 5th, 6th Camponeschi (CRG/Maxter), Kozlinski (CRG/Maxter) 7th, 8th Puhakka (PCR/TM), De Vries (Zanardi/Parilla) 9th and 10th Toman (Birel/BMB).
