Moller-Madsen imperious in Prefinal

With a front row of D’Agosto / Moller-Madsen, and Silva, Gatting and Barrabeig waiting to ambush, the start of the prefinal promised to be exciting. D’Agosto led from Silva who benefited most from the start while Barrabeig was soon taken by Moller-Madsen. Gatting lost ground to 7th position. Silva stayed D’Agosto’s bumper and went on the attack. Moller-Madsen also took 2nd place ahead of the Italian, then took the lead on lap 4. Karol Basz was back in 4th place, just ahead of Gatting who found her speed. Yu Kanamaru was soon leading the hunt for the Energy at the front.

By mid-race, Moller-Madsen led with 1.6” ahead of Kanamaru, Silva, Barrabeig, Gatting and D’Agosto. Enzo Guibbert was totally on it in 8th position, and Réguillon was 14th from the back, as were Schmidt and Nortoft. The lead of Moller-Madsen continued to grow, and Kanamaru and Silva were very close, Barrabeig dropped to 6th behind Gatting and D’Agosto. Sébastien Bailly made every effort to gain back places, he was in 17th.

Kanamaru seemed to touch Silva and Gatting slightly at the end of the race. The Dane took the opportunity to take 3rd place overtaking Silva on the penultimate lap. Victory went to Moller-Madsen (Energy/TM), 2.7” ahead of Kanamaru (Tony Kart/Vortex) who managed to retain his place. Silva (Tony Kart/Vortex) took 3rd position from Gatting (CRG/Maxter) on the last lap. Guibbert (FA Kart/Vortex) overtook D’Agosto (Tony Kart/Vortex) to take 5th place.
