After the running in stage at the Winter Cup, this weekend the Sodi Racing Team discovered the WSK Euro Series in Southern Italy, in particular with Anthony Abbasse’s entry on scene in KZ1. His place in the first row at the start of the pre-final next to Jonathan Thonon showed Sodi’s excellent potential in the 125 gearbox category, supported by a TM from Tec-Sav. Later, a mechanical problem forced him to quit the race, but he brilliantly made up the lost ground in the final, recovering 25 places and posting the best lap in race, ahead of the world elite of the category. Sodi expects a lot from the rest of the KZ season.

Gasly-KF3.jpgPierre Gasly made sparks fly, with second best time in timed qualifying out of a total of 90 drivers racing in KF3. Fourth in pre-final, the last race was not as good and he was even penalised after a start that the sport commissioners did not like much. However, Pierre always fought in the top 5 of the WSK, doing better than in Lonato.

In KF2, results were not as good for the French team. Some problems to the power valve delayed Sébastien Bailly before he was slightly injured by another kart and threw in the towel. Once again, Alex Baron achieved a nice qualification and an encouraging 18th in the pre-final. After a collision at the first turn of the final, Sodi’s hopes had to be put aside, for the time being.
