Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) were victims of the traditional tangles in the 1st corner but Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) and Brandon Maisano (Intrepid / TM) took the lead ahead of Sauro Cesetti (Birel / BMB), Ben Cooper (Kosmic / Vortex), Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) Mark Litchfield (FA Kart / Maxter). Maïsano threatened Convers quickly to take 1st place on the 2nd lap, however mechanical problems betrayed him on the next lap and he retired. Cooper overtook Cesetti to reach second place behind Convers.

Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) mingled with the fray after a surge and soon occupied 3rd position. Kozlinski was also on the pace, but received a penalty of 3 seconds that relegated him to 7th place. Cesetti got a 10 second penalty. Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) reminded  everyone of his pace yesterday and took the 4th position in the standings, followed by Felice Tiene (CRG /Maxter).

Convers, Cooper, Cesetti Ardigo, De Vries, Koko crossed the line in that order, but the results show Convers 1st, 2nd Cooper, Ardigo 3rd, De Vries 4th, and 5th Tiene Kozlinski 6th. The Kosmics made a big impression, but it is Ardigo who is in a good position for the final, while De Vries has done the right thing and Koko is not far away. The 30km long final will really test the drivers and karts.
