Victory for Foster-Jones, title for Vainio

At the he final start it was important not to be disrupted by a major incident, except Manu Renaudie was a bit wide at the 1st corner and lost the benefit of the front row. Aaro Vainio gave way to Simo Puhakka and Richard Bradley without too much excitement. Jason Parrott held 4th place in front of Sinan Van der Raad. Renaudie was in 6th position just ahead of Robert Foster-Jones.

Vainio engaged the turbo and was in the lead on lap 5 ahead of Puhakka, Bradley and Parrott. Renaudie was slow to return to the front and even Foster-Jones passed him. Bradley slowed the pace, Parrott regained third, but Foster-Jones was the most impressive. He soon exceeded his compatriot and took second position. From there he threatened Vainio, but didn’t look able to pass. But on the last lap Foster-Jones took the opportunity on the last lefthander to pass Vainio and the manouevre wasn’t really resisted, as Vainio already knew he was the winner of the championship. Puhakka once again got on the podium.
