Second heat for Renaudie

Another heat full of rebounds in Super KF at Essay. After short showers in the afternoon, the track was almost dry for the second heat. Oliver Rowland (LH / Maxter) retained the advantage of his pole position while Manu Renaudie (Gillard / Parilla) made a strong start and moved up a position to second place. Aaro Vainio (Maranello / Maxter) couldn’t keep his place and was 3rd then 4th and when Robert Foster-Jones (FA Kart / Vortex) overtook. Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) followed in 5th position ahead of Miika Kunranta (Birel / Parilla) and Richard Bradley (Maddox / Maxter). Simo Puhakka watched the race from the gravel at the first corner.

On the 3rd lap, Rowland suffered a drop to 5th place. Renaudie took the lead ahead of Foster-Jones and De Brabander. The no. 3 driver escaped from a group led by Kunranta. Behind him, Vainio seemed unable to recover. Foster-Jones attacked Renaudie took the lead on lap 5. Renaudie was left in his wake and De Brabander was very close. On lap 8, Foster-Jones was much slower and was overtaken by Renaudie and De Brabander. Kunranta did the same on the next lap. As expected, De Brabander took the advantage from Renaudie, but he came back quickly. Foster-Jones retired.

Renaudie consolidated his advantage in the closing laps, and Kunranta was back on De Brabander. Bradley overcame Vainio for 4th position and following at a distance was Rowland in 6th place. Renaudie won, ahead of De Brabander and Kunranta in 2nd and 3rd. Vainio was 5th, Rowland 6th, Parrott 8th ahead of Aurélien Forgeron.
