Does the 1st Super KF heat foreshadow the conclusion of the European Championship? It is unclear so far, but the dominance of Aaro Vainio (Maranello / Maxter) in the 1st race of the day is probably not

trivial. However, Oliver Rowland (LH / Maxter) started on pole and widened the gap in the first laps. Manu Renaudie (Gillard / Parilla) kept 3rd place. For now, Jason Parrott (Birel / Parilla) was 10th.

Miika Kunranta (Birel / Parilla) overtook Renaudie; in 7th, Yannick De Brabander (Intrepid / TM) reduced the gap. On lap 6, Vainio suddenly attacked Rowland. He passed quickly along with Kunranta. It seemed that a rapid temperature decrease changed the performance of some engines. Those who did adjust their carburettor were losing ground. Rowland took 2nd place back from Kunranta and Robert Foster-Jones (FA Kart / Vortex) attacked Renaudie. Vainio pulled away without resistance.

On lap 8, Rowland retired with a broken engine. De Brabander was 4th behind Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM). In 9th, Jason Parrott stopped with an engine failure. Renaudie’s machine was finally working properly and allowed him to return to 3rd position behind Kunranta while Vainio crossed the finish line first. Puhakka was 4th, Bradley (Maddox / Maxter) 5th and De Brabander 6th. Note the 11th place Aurelien Forgeron who was very fast in his return to racing.
