The timed practice at Salbris began under a grey sky as the temperature fell. Perhaps this freshness agreed with Swedish driver Joel Johansson, who posted the fastest time in KF2 on his Energy / TM with 1’00”392. Matteo Beretta (Tony Kart / Vortex) took second position ahead of another Italian Matteo Vigano (Birel / Parilla). Britain’s Ben Cooper (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fourth and the Malaysian at Kosmic, Gilbert Mitchell, was 5th.
Guillaume De Ridder (Kosmic / Vortex) led his team-mate Felice Tiene in 9th place. There was a little disappointment for Brandon Maisano who only put his LH / Maxter in 17th position, just ahead of Aniello Smarrazzo (Tony Kart / Vortex). The Portuguese driver David Da Luz (Zanardi / Parilla) was also slightly below expectations in 26th. There was a negative surprise for Energy with Moller-Madsen in 32nd and Grenhagen 39th.
