By taking a masterful double in the two races at Wackersdorf, the Italian Angelo Lombardo recovered to win the European title in KZ2 after arriving in Germany in 10th place. Patrik Hajek could not afford to repeat his retirement, he needed to finish around 8th place to to prevail, but could do no better than 14th at the finish line.

Lombardo spent the entire race in the lead, continuing to widen the gap from his pursuers, Devid De Luchi and Jorrit Pex. The race had relatively little overtaking as the  field quickly spread out around the track. After taking third in the last race, Riccardo Piccoli remained isolated in 4th position, far enough ahead of Delli Compagni, Zanchetta, Ferri and Yard Pex. Excluded from Race 1 for contact with Hajek, Hawksworth came back to 16th place which brought him nothing. Although he gained a lot, Eric Ramon had to retire because a bumper came loose in a contact. Clément Da Silva made a good start to the race by taking the 5th position on lap two, but he had to cede ground and dropped back to 13th place. William Benedetti lost time on the first lap of the race and had an anonymous race at the back of the field.

Lombardo took victory ahead of Jorrit Pex and De Luchi. Piccoli was 4th and Yard Pex 5th.
