Starting on slicks while the rain began to fall heavily, the KZ2s were stopped by the red flag. A deluge of hail fell on the green grass of Normandy. The race was restarted later in a fairly strong and steady rain, everybody choosing wet tyres without hesitation.

Norman Nato (Intrepid / TM) started in front, but Yannick Savard (CRG / Maxter) took an authoritarian command before the end of the 2nd lap. Apparently not at ease on the wet track, Nato was losing ground gradually. Savard built significant gap on Alban Varutti (Sodi / SGM) and Abbasse (Sodi / TM) who was very strong. Mathias Gallepe was running in 4th place, followed at a distance by Thomas Mich (Birel / TM), Gaglione (Sodi / TM) and Stéphane Lefebvre (Tony Kart / TM).

Abbasse closed on his team-mate Varutti who of course did not make it easy … Abbasse passed him and then moved to close the gap that separated him from the leader, Yaniick Savard. There was drama a few laps from the finish: Varutti and Gallepe stopped almost simultaneously, victims of mechanical problems probably due to the amount of rain.

The laurel wreath went to Yannick Savard ahead of Anthony Abbasse and Thomas Mich. Lefebvre took 4th place and Nato salvaged an unexpected 5th place.
