The British made a grab in KF2 with 6 drivers in the top 10, but Brandon Maisano (Intrepid / TM) saved the honor by magic in the last round of time trials at the Angerville qualifier for the European Championship. It is hard to believe that the driver from Intrepid France planned such an unstoppable coup, but in any case he managed to set the best time in the second session at the last moment, when he was still a little way off in a group dominated by Jordon Lennox-Lamb (Topkart / Parilla) who had been first. The British driver did not even part in the 2nd session, no doubt convinced that he had given everything in the previous one. But by 52 milliseconds, it was not enough!
Jordan Chamberlain (Tony Kart / TM) set the third fastest time, an excellent performance for a pilot who has not raced internationally this season. 4th was still a subject of her Royal Majesty, Max Goff (Maranello / Maxter)who also stayed out of the second session. Paul-Loup Chatin (Tony Kart / Vortex) was a good 5th at Alain Colin’s TKF team. The lovely Laura Tillett (Gillard / Parilla) is rarely seen as high in the rankings, with a superb 6th place. In 7th, the CRG / Maxter of the Spanish driver Alarcon ahead of the Tony Kart / Vortex of Switzerland (?) Yu Kanamaru. Chris Lock (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Sam Snell (Intrepid / TM) completed the top 10.
There was a remarkable 12th fastest time for Freddy Martin (F – Merlin / Parilla), while David Da Luz (P-Zanardi / Parilla) in 14th was a little disappointed, as was Loïc Reguillon with Sodi / Parilla who was less fast when the rubber began to build up on the track.
