The start was very good, although not the crash from Giacomello, but he stayed horizontal this time. Dreezen also crashed and retired with a bent steering column. Destiny seems to have it in for the only drivers on exotic tyres (Dunlop and Vega) in a field of Bridgestones.

Foster-Jones made the best start and led Puhakka. Rowland attacked De Brabander, but he should not have … He soon returned to the pits, while De Brabander bounced back like a madman. Vainio attacked Puhakka at the hairpin before the start, but De Brabander got mixed up in the story. There were 3 drivers at together at this point, at least one too many. Brabander passed, but the two Finns touched: Vainio went to the back end of the pack, Puhakka retired.

Foster-Jones took the opportunity to build a big gap to Parrott, Kunranta and De Brabander, who were followed in 5th position by Gromanova, and then Renaudie and Ryall. Renaudie and Gromanova would soon start to fight. At the front, the lead was rapidly melting behind Foster-Jones, without doubt they were on better tyres. Parrott and Kunranta were soon close enough to put Foster-Jones under stress. Finally the 2 Birels managed to outstrip the FA Kart chassis. It was a great victory for Mika Kunranta, the first at this level. Renaudie once again recovered to the top five.
