The arrival of the Dutchman Bas Lammers at Intrepid has not gone unnoticed, which is the least we can say. Two victories in the qualifying heats on Saturday, winning the pre-final and final on Sunday – Bas quickly understood the operation of his new hardware. Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / Maxter) did not last more than 2 laps, after the starting tumult. Alessandro Manetti (AM / TM) also quickly lost ground before disappearing.

Jack Hawksworth (Energy / TM) was long threatening, particularly in his duel with Rick Dreezen (CRG / Maxter), but he had to interrupt his race on the 11th of the 15 laps of the final. Dreezen thought for a moment  he had 2nd place, but the rapid return of Manu Renaudie (Gillard / SGM) displaced him on the 12th lap. Manu’s exploits were remarkable! In third, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) once again demonstrated tenacity, from timed practice to return to the front in all his races, tirelessly linking fastest laps. Without doubt he was not satisfied with a place at the foot of the podium, but the points earned at Sarno could be of great importance at the end of the season.

In 5th, Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM) showed he was still able to surprise, gaining 10 places in the final, for example. A good race also for veteran Alessandro Piccini on his return with Intrepid, but still on a TM, he finished 6th, gaining 5 places. Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) was not spared at Sarno. Starting out as favorite, he had to fight hard to reach 7th position, also not wanting to pass up the points.

Stuck in the parc ferme for the qualifying, coming through the repechage, Roberto Toninelli (VKR / TM) saved the weekend with an 8th place in the final. Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) fought like a devil against his luck: he moved up 13 places and finished 9th. Finally Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex) finally got into the top 10 in a class that he seemed so far not to appreciate too much. After getting stuck in the parc ferme, he made a great attempt to recover in each race, putting in a remarkable effort.
