Now that training is reaching its peak and everybody is getting ready for the first GPO at Angerville, it is already possible to identify a first trend with reference to the provisional lists of registered drivers. Registrations are not closed yet, and it is still possible to register to an event that offers the best opportunity to get ready for the Western area qualifying round of the European KF2 & KF3 Championship.

Currently, there are drivers from 7 countries, and the French account for almost two thirds of all the drivers, while Belgium and Spain are the best represented foreign countries. As for constructors, at least 21 different brands have registered so far, a sign of the fact that the French championship will be very competitive. Sodikart accounts for the highest number of registrations and it is immediately followed by Tony Kart, while Birel logically dominates in KZ2, where the first 6 of the 2008 Championship are ready to battle.

In KF2, top drivers of the 2008 season, like Kenny Vermeylen, Guillaume Barbarin, Loïc Réguillon, Sébastien Bailly, Olivier Tilkin, Dane Smith and Clément Bluy, have already registred. Naturally, there is a higher turnover among the Juniors in KF3. As for the best drivers, mention can be made of Jonathan Hélias, Tanguy Carel, Henry Easthope, Adrien Leidinger and Carlos Gil.

Drivers who have decided to wait until the very last minute to register (a widespread habit in karting) have still some time left. Anyway, one thing is for certain: those who will not be at the Angerville GPO will definitely regret it…
