All is (again) calm at La Conca

There was good weather this Sunday morning in the Salentino, this small part of the world at the tip of the boot of Italy. The Italian Eurosport team continue to prepare for the afternoon’s live coverage (14h37) and the amount of cables used for this occasion is matched only by the amount of cables rolled up and waiting in the vans. With television taking precedence over any other medium it has become almost impossible for photographers to work on the track during the final stages of the meeting. Otherwise, the warm-up was particularly quiet for the drivers qualified for the KF1 finals. A number of slow laps, and seemingly more caution than necessary … The Prefinal for KF1 is scheduled to start at 10:45 and the final between 14:37 and 14:38. For KF2, the start of the Prefinal is due at 13:30 and the final at 15:50. Until then, many have sunk in the Strait of Messina.
