Vainio not challenged in the Prefinal

Aaro Vainio was highly successful in the start of the KF3 Prefinal and thus was able to escape the pressure of Jari Huttunen who crashed with Nicolaj Moller-Madsen and immediately sank into the depths of oblivion.

Running alone, Vainio was ahead of a strong trio, long led by David Da Luz, then by Joni Wiman and Clemente Picariello. Wiman finished second, Picariello was 3rd at the flag, and Da Luz was 4th. Starting 16th, Maïsano came back strongly to finish 6th behind Teemu Suninen, who also came from far back on the grid. Also noticed was the beautiful performance of Tanguy Carel who took his Sodi from 30th to 10th position, just ahead of Guillaume De Ridder.
