Moller-Madsen dominates in KF3

The young guns in KF3 (13-15 years) all dream of winning their firstinternational title and walking in the footsteps of F1 driver Sebastian Vettel, European Junior Champion in 2001. For them, the pressure was perhaps even more intense when timed practice started.

Moller_Madsen_Chrono.jpgThe Danish driver Nicolaj Moller Madsen (Tony Kart-Vortex) withstood the pressure perfectly and he landed a superb pole position to start his weekend, which put a Tony Kart leading the times in all three
categories. The Belgian Clemente Alessio Picariello (CRG-Maxter) was 35 milliseconds behind, the Portuguese David Da Luz (Maranello-TM) 41 milliseconds, the Finn Johannes Heinonen (Birel-XTR) 79 milliseconds and the German Jason Kremer (Tony Kart – XTR) in fifth was only 80 thousandths off pole position.

Aaro Vainio (Maranello-Maxter) was not far behind, closely by Mans Grenhagen (Energy-TM). Nyck De Vries posted the 14th fastest time in the second session after retiring in the first. Pascal Belmaaziz
(Intrepid-TM), was the best French driver, taking 16th place, while Brandon Maïsano (Intrepid-TM), was only 28th. Both of these drivers missed the first timed session. Brandon was not the only favourite to
be far off in quaifying: Kevin Ceccon was 23rd, Carlos Sainz 24th and Lorenzo Camplese 31st.

The sessions therefore particularly frenetic and qualifying rounds this Saturday should be equally so since there are only 34 places to be allocated for the finals!
