Despite his domination at Mariembourg, Tony Lavanant (F – Energy/TM) is only second in the provisional ranking of the European KZ2 Championship. It must be said that his 10″ penalty for wrong position at the line up of Race 2 cost him 19 points. Joffrey Demanse (F – PCR/TM) took advantage of the situation to maintain his first position and to carve a small gap of 11 points, with an overall of 83 points. Mathias Gallepe (F – Energy/TM) reached 3rd place, with 49 points, after a hard fight in race.
At Varennes, the title should be contended by the first 2 pilots. As far as the 3rd place is concerned, Mathias Gallepe will have to watch out for a turbulent group composed of Kevin Jansen (NL – Energy/TM), Joey Hanssen (NL – PCR/TM) and Angelo Lombardo (I – TonyKart/Vortex). Jack Hawksworth (GB – Gillard/TM) remains a possible candidate.
