Zoel was not too unhappy with his free practice, except when he had a mechanical failure when he had the right tyres on for putting in a fast time. Otherwise, he has regularly been in around seventh position, which is a good result for a driver who is still learning the unusual track at Suzuka.

Tomorrow (Saturday) they will probably race in the rain, which will disrupt the standings.
