Maisano out on his own

Tanguy Carel retired on the parade lap of the KF3 final, even without the threat of rain.

Jonathan Helias attacked from the outset and had a spell in the lead, followed Adrian Leidinger and Brandon Maisano. But before the end of the lap, Leidinger and Maisano had repassed. Guillaume De Ridder attacked Helias on the next lap and settled in third position. Brandon despatched Leidinger on the third lap, then Helias fell back to eighth place. Michael Heche, Cemente Picariello and Mathieu Jaminet formed a squadron to hunt down the three leaders.

Picariello and then Jaminet passed Heche. Helias went ot on the next lap. Maisano pulled out enough time to control the race but the last few laps were enlivened by Jaminet’s resumption of attacks on De Ridder. Jaminet overtook the Belgian on the next lap and then two drivers passed Leidinger a few hundred metres from the finish.

Maisano was the winner, De Ridder second and Jaminet completed the podium.
