At first the KZ2 final was started on slick tyres but the rain started to fall and it was red-flagged. There was a fresh start 30 minutes later with all competitors on wet tyres. As expected, the rain then stopped and the track gradually dried during the race.

Christophe Benoit started first but Alban Varutti took back the lead until Mich attacked on the next lap. Enzo Zefirini was in fourth position ahead of Norman Nato and Julien Le Brigand.

Benoit attacked Mich in turn three, and Zefirini did the same two laps later. The drivers were looking for wet patches to cool their tyres… Varutti increased his lead, as did Mich. Benoit started to return to form and passed Nato. Later on Demanse overtook Gazurelli, looking very comfortable in the conditions.

At the end of the race, Mich was dangerously close to Varutti, but he managed to retain his lead on the line while Benoit had joined the leading duo hoping to join the fight.
