Forè Assesses His 2009 Season
In his first season with the official CRG-Maxter Team, Davide Forè has always fought at the top against leading international rivals. Though luck has not always been on his side at decisive times, the Italian karter has greatly contributed to the many successes of his team, winner of the World Championship for Super KF and of the World Cup for KZ1 in 2009. Forè, one of the most titled champions of all times, will definitely be one of the protagonists of the 2010 season…

Forè Assesses His 2009 Season

After conquering five world titles, Davide Forè took on a new challenge in 2009 by joining the prestigious CRG Racing Team. “When I joined this new team, I had to find my feet, but thanks to the fantastic welcome I received, I quickly regained my confidence” Davide recalls. “Together with the staff from CRG and Maxter, we really did some terrific development work. I like to take on this kind of technical challenges and I think we were rewarded for that, both in terms of performances and reliability: CRG won the World Cup for KZ1 with Thonon, the World Championship and the WSK in Super KF with Kozlinski. I think I made my contribution to these results, too. Although as far as I am concerned, luck didn’t always smile at me”. The season started well, especially in Super KF, with a 5th place at the Winter Cup and a 6th at the WSK round in Castelletto. In 125cc gearbox engine categories (KZ1 / KZ2), Davide was just as competitive. In the WSK, he was 6th in Genk and conquered the pole position in Salbris. Unfortunately, at the end of the season, Davide Forè could add no more successes to his extraordinary list of victories at major events.
“I had already been forced to give up the World Cup for Super KF in Suzuka and I was stopped midway by a mechanical problem in Sarno, during the World Cup for KZ1. However, I knew that day the podium was just waiting for me. With the CRG Team, we had found a good chassis balance for the final and the Maxter engines prepared by Patrick Savard (Tec’Sav) had proven their competitiveness. I hoped I could take my revenge at the World Championship for Super KF in Macao, but my weekend was ruined by a series of small problems”.
Without any apparent reason for that, Forè has always had his best seasons in even years, so he has a lot of expectations for 2010. “In motor sports, there are difficult times, but I am always ready to get moving again very fast. I have won many races in my career and I am sure there will be many more victories to share with CRG-Maxter, now that they have reaffirmed their trust in me for next year”. Meanwhile, the talented Italian karter will try and finish 2009 in beauty at the 13th “Supernationals” in Las Vegas, United States.
