Charles Milesi rises to the challenge at Magny-Cours in F4

Charles Milesi’s consistent work has just been rewarded by a superb meeting in the French F4 Championship at the circuit of Magny-Cours. With three podiums in a row, 3rd, 2nd and finally 1st, Charles has continued the good performances over several weekends in his first season in single-seaters. After several more convincing races in Formula Renault 2.0, Charles Milesi returned to the wheel of his F4 on September 9th and 10th at the fifth event of the French F4 Championship. He started by posting the 3rd fastest time of Qualifying Practice. “I could have done even better and even have taken pole position, but a slight misunderstanding with my team cost me a few tenths of a second,” said the young driver.

In Race 1, Charles moved up from 4th to 3rd position, although his potential would have allowed him to get a better result. He was confident after the analysis of his performance, and he took the wheel with the morale of fighter on Sunday morning for Race 2. He lost a little time in the brawl of the first laps, but noticeably increased the pace to regain several places and finish a few lengths from the winner with an excellent time. The victory had not disappeared by far and Charles was determined to seize his chance during the last race of the weekend. He went on the attack as quickly as possible to join 2nd place and to pursue the leader Victor Martins. He was both incisive and sure of the fast lines and managed to take the lead to secure his second victory in the French F4 Championship, with the fastest time of the race.

It was not the perfect weekend, but it was not far away! I felt more and more confident and was able to give my best in the last race. Beyond the victory, it’s a very nice feeling! I train a lot on the physical level and I prepare for the races very seriously with Julien Abelli of Simumotion. Seeing all this work beginning to bear fruit is excellent encouragement for a repeat.

Undoubtedly started with a positive dynamic, Charles intends to continue in this manner next weekend in the Northern European Cup for FR 2.0 at the Nürburgring circuit with the R-ace GP team.
