Ludo Racing masters world X30 at Le Mans

With both his team and with the engine preparation service, Ludo Racing was the big winner of the IAME International Final at Le Mans. Vincent Fraisse won on his Sodi chassis in X30 Senior and Gérard Cavalloni won in X30 Master with an engine tuned in the workshops of Ludo Racing near Lyon. The team, managed with skill and passion by Ludovic Veve, also had excellent results with other drivers.

Two world titles in one day! Sunday, October 18, 2015 will remain etched in stone for all of the Ludo Racing team, who worked hard to arrive at Le Mans in the best frame of mind. “Our efforts have now paid off, which is very pleasant,” admitted Ludovic Veve. “Between each race, the development work is endless and the results are there.

Successive titles won
Each season, Ludo Racing proves that it is still a major player on the regional, national and international karting stages. 2015 was no exception to the rule: French Rotax Max Champion, many victories in NSK, Vice-Champion in the Europa Challenge in X30, repeated podiums in the Regional Championships, and so on. So Ludovic Veve’s team arrived in the Sarthe for this IAME International Final particularly well prepared. The extremely high effectiveness of the Sodi Sigma chassis was particularly appreciated in all conditions, qualifying and the duration of the Final in the dry and in the rain.

Performance there when needed
At Le Mans, we were pleased to welcome drivers from different backgrounds and nationalities. All have shown their progress in this very tough environment,” said Ludovic Veve. In X30 Master, Franck Rouxel completed a brilliant progression in the Final, moving from 20th to 8th place with the fifth fastest lap in the Final. In X30 Junior, two Ludo Racing drivers reached the Finals, despite an entry of 98 in this single category. Teo Laforge flirted with the top 10 before finishing 15th after intense fighting in the pack. Alexandre Jenouvrier was disappointed in the Prefinal where he was heckled despite setting the fastest lap. With the fourth fastest time in the Final, he was finally ranked 13th after a gain of 11 places. Despite his youth and his lack of experience, Hugo Arnaud drove strongly in qualifying, finishing in the top 10 three times in the heats. Only a Final retirement deprived this driver to watch in the future.

Two successes in the X30 “World Cup”!
In X30 Senior, the Chilean Lorenzo Mauriziano and the Dubai driver Fraser Rose managed to keep up a good pace throughout the meeting, as did Luca Midali. The winner of the NSK race at Varennes, the latter reached the finals and even 15th place overall, starting 23rd! The hero of the day was therefore Vincent Fraïsse: four wins in the heats, a 3rd place in the Prefinal and the Final victory with a Sodi-X30 set up at its best. “The equipment was “supersonic”! We had already scored twice with Ludo Racing in this global event in 2012, but it was Jules Gounon who won. This time it was my turn,” welcomed Vincent.

Ludovic Veve could only congratulate his drivers, his technical team, including Emeric and François, the organizers of the event and Sodikart for their confidence. The global victory in X30 Master for Gerard Cavalloni, who used Ludo Racing engines, was the icing on the cake, with the return of a great success for the PCR brand and a nod to Mario Lorenzi, his manager.
