Genk Academy 2015: big achievements for Parolin

The second round of the 2015 CIK-FIA Academy Trophy has probably been one of the most brilliant achievements of Parolin Racing Kart who again proved their expertise in Belgium. Providing 50 very close in performance and reliable machines remains a demanding challenge to meet in every race. The experience of the Italian team allows them to meet this challenge with great consistency.

Particularly difficult technically, the Genk circuit had very different conditions from those of the first event at Zuera. In addition, the weather varied from heat to rain from Saturday until Sunday morning. Despite this, the best drivers in Spain shone again in Belgium, proving again the Academy Trophy’s ability to reveal talent and minimizing the importance of the equipment in the results. This important point is the essence of the formula established by the CIK-FIA.

We are very satisfied with the meeting at Genk,” says Marco Parolin. “We have a good knowledge of the Belgian circuit and its specific conditions for our third time here in the Academy Trophy. This facilitated the work and the choice of the carburetion for our 50 karts. In the dry or in the rain, the FIM engines ran very well. All karts reached the finish, except in case of accidents, but that is not our responsibility. Throughout the weekend, we saw some very hotly contested races with small gapss between the competitors. The pole position was shared in full equality to three decimal between Spanish Lloveras Brunet and Russian Slutskiy with a lap in 55”635! This what we talk about when we talk about victory for Parolin Racing Kart!

The satisfaction index is very high among the competitors in the Academy Trophy implemented by Parolin. Drivers from distant countries are enthusiastic to participate in an international competition in Europe. Without the Academy most of them would never race on our continent. It is certain that many of these drivers take a liking to the competition with the Academy and then enter KF or KF-Junior with other teams to develop their talent in European Karting. The attractiveness of the Academy Trophy is undeniable with this plan.

“Parolin Racing Kart has always been convinced of the need to offer inexpensive one-make formulas to broaden the base of competitors,” continues Marco Parolin. “We run our monobrand Championkart in Italy and we also work in other countries. We have several ongoing projects where our experience with the Academy Trophy gives us a head start. Given the difficulties facing competition karting today accessible schemes like this have a vital role to play.
